Solar Air Preheaters

Almost all energy we use in industry, in agriculture and in power generation is obtained from heat. Until now, heat was generated by burning fossil fuels (LPG, petrol, natural gas, diesel or coal) in cold, ambient air; this process generates large amounts of greenhouse gases:

cold air input - more energy input - more pollution

We suggest that the incoming air is first preheated with one of our efficient and economical solar air pre-heaters and only afterwards it is fed to the fossil fuel burner:

preheated air - less energy input - less pollution

This can be applied in all situations where a burner is used: in industry, agriculture, power generation, infrastructure systems.

Some space is required for the installation of the solar air heater. Due to its light weight, it can easily be mounted on any roof or wall, or installed on the ground.

Pre-heating the air with solar energy has the following advantages:

  • it decreases the expenditure by reducing the quantity of fossil fuel required
  • it diminishes the emissions of greenhouse gases
  • it improves the burning process (especially for heavy combustible fuels)
  • if placed on the roof of a building, the collector(s) will protect the roof from the elements.
  • in some cases, the solar collector may even replace the roof material, resulting in a decreased building cost
  • it promotes a socially responsible and environmentally friendly image

For high temperature processes, our solar heaters can provide a proportion of energy equal to the ratio between the solar and the process temperatures.
